STNA (EF) - Part Time, 2nd Shift
About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to support the licensed staff by providing direct resident care and performing Nurse Aide functions. This includes attending to the personal needs and comfort of residents under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Birchaven Village policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill to provide care appropriate to the needs of residents, including identifying and reporting changes in resident condition or behavior.
- Provide direct resident care and room preparation as directed by nursing staff to address resident needs and safety.
- Communicate ordering needs to inventory personnel to restock resident care supplies and ensure adequate stock for daily resident care.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
- Display service excellence by practicing the mission, vision, and values of the organization to promote resident satisfaction.
- Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and practices to ensure quality job performance and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Meet the minimum required age of 16 years old.
- Active registry as a State Tested Nurse Aide with the State of Ohio.
- Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of residents, including basic knowledge of aging-related principles and problems.
- Ability to assess data reflective of resident status and interpret information to identify resident needs.
Physical Demands
This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent activities in walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and standing. The associate will be required to lift 50 pounds or more, including lifting work above the shoulder. Corrected vision and hearing in the normal range are necessary, along with excellent communication skills to perform daily tasks. This position is classified at risk for possible occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens (e.g., HBV, HIV).
Pay
$1,500 sign-on bonus.
