Stilt Walking Monsters (Knott's Scary Farm)

Stilt Walking Monsters at Knott’s Scary Farm for the 2026 season. Candidates must be experienced, versatile, and agile stilt walkers comfortable performing for extended periods while in-character as a KSF Monster. Thursday–Sunday availability preferred.

Pay

$18.03 per hour

Schedule

• Event dates: September 17–19, 24–27; October 1–4, 8–11, 15–18, 22–25, 29–31 (dates subject to change)
• Shifts may start as early as 3:00 PM and end as late as 3:00 AM
• Must be available all assigned training and event dates (Thursday–Sunday), including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Use creativity and common sense to startle and scare guests safely and effectively, employing performance techniques taught in training
• Work as a team member to achieve overall atmosphere and goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directors
• Consistently perform role as scripted or conceived
• Remain in character while “on-stage” and in view of guests; interact professionally and artistically
• Utilize props and noise makers safely to enhance the scare experience
• Perform vocalizations such as grunts, groans, growls, screams, and other monster noises
• Maintain changes in posture, walk, body movements, and physical presence to enhance character believability
• Provide guest service according to Six Flags standards, including initiating interactions, answering questions, and giving directions
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work area; comply with Six Flags Safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions
• Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Fulfill Scary Farm’s attendance requirements as outlined in the Six Flags attendance policy
• Adhere to Six Flags Rules of Conduct, including costuming and grooming standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Stilt-walking experience required; experience with Articulated/Drywall/Painter stilts preferred
• Stage acting or haunted attraction experience helpful but not required
• Willingness and ability to wear heavy makeup and/or a full-face mask for extended periods in varying Southern California temperatures and weather conditions
• Must pass a background check if 18 years or older (may include credit, criminal, and DMV checks)
• Must provide record of previous employment, education, and personal references per Company policy, unless prohibited by law
• Must be at least 18 years old
