About the role

Tiny Boxwoods Productions is seeking an experienced Prep Cook to join our Steward team. We offer comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days of full-time work (minimum 30 hours), and two weeks of paid vacation after a year of continuous full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Baking chocolate chip cookies
• Other prep work as needed/assigned
• Maintaining cleanliness of storage area(s) and kitchen
• Receiving and stocking deliveries
• Re-fill tea, lemonade and cold brew daily
• Maintaining all perishable goods according to FIFO
• Washing all pans and trays
• Organizing all containers/items to be returned to the Bakery
• Outside grounds keeping as needed
• Trash removal from both in and out of the store throughout shift
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Texas Food Handlers certificate
• Sanitation Certification
• Excellent guest service skills
• Good memory
• Flexible availability in scheduling
• Capacity to multitask
• Ability to work as part of a team

Working Conditions

• Restaurant setting in the kitchen and dish area
• Temperature generally moderate and controlled, but can reach extreme temperatures
• Potential hazards include cuts, slipping, tripping, falls, and burns
• Frequent hand washing required

Physical Requirements

• Standing/walking for long periods of time
• Regular talking, hearing, and seeing
• Active and requires bending, stooping, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Constantly moving in the kitchen and dish area where space may be limited
• Using hands to lift, handle or control objects/tools
• Performing repetitive motions for extended periods of time
• Reacting quickly using hands, fingers, or feet
