Responsibilities
- Maintain all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils in a clean and sanitized condition.
- Keep the machine dishwashing station, dish room, preparation, and storage areas clean and sanitized.
- Follow instructions and accept constructive feedback from departmental supervisors/ managers.
- Work in an environment that at times can be hot and humid.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work station.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and guest interaction.
- Report to work on time and in complete uniform.
- Absorb and assist in other areas as needed.
- Adhere to daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules in compliance with all departmental standards.
- Complete any task requested by a supervisor or member of the management team.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Steward or Dishwasher preferred.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
- Understanding of basic kitchen sanitation.
- Availability to work a schedule which will include holidays, weekends, and varied shift times.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to converse with guests and employees in English.
