About the role

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for providing the restaurant and kitchen with clean and sanitary ware. Duties include loading and operating automatic dish washing machines, manually cleaning pots, pans, and equipment, and maintaining dishroom cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Gather and rinse dirty dishware from tubs and stack in dishracks.
• Operate automatic dish washing machines, load dishwashing solutions, and regulate detergent and chemical output.
• Unload clean dishes, inspect for cleanliness, and stack in carts and shelves.
• Manually scrub pots, pans, and kitchen equipment, dry with hand towels, and store in designated areas.
• Polish silver, stainless steel, and pewter to present clean and attractive equipment.
• Maintain dishwashing equipment in good condition and organize the dishroom.
• Clean kitchen floors, work surfaces, and other areas as directed.
• Manage trash removal and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of dishwashing is required. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, squatting, reaching, and performing multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to see minute objects, read meters and controls, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

None formal training or experience is required. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must be able to perform tasks in a 95% indoor environment, including exposure to freezer temperatures of -10 degrees.

Skills

Basic knowledge of dishwashing is required.

Pay

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
