Steward
About the role
The Savannah Convention Center is currently seeking a part-time Steward to join their team. This position is based at the 330,000 square foot Savannah Convention Center, which is undergoing an expansion and is located directly across from historic Savannah on the Savannah River.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of all food to prospective functions.
- Delivery and set-up and breakdown of all equipment to prospective functions.
- Maintaining clean kitchen and organized kitchen.
- Running and maintenance of the main dish machine.
- Trash Disposal
- Prepare equipment for offsite events as well as cleaning offsite food area at end of event.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
- Results oriented individual with the ability to meet required time lines.
- Able to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
- Must adhere to local Food Codes.
Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment.
