About the role
- A clinical hematologist and researcher based at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Brisbane, Australia
- Leader of a busy research group at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research
- Focuses on myeloid blood cancers including AML, MDS, and MPN
- Combines molecular and cell biology techniques with translational sample analysis
- Seeks to discover new treatment options for patients with blood cancers
- Findings have been used in prospective clinical trials to improve patient outcomes
Responsibilities
- Oversee the peer review process for submitted manuscripts
- Contribute to the development and implementation of editorial policies
- Collaborate with other editors and staff to ensure high-quality content
- Represent the journal at conferences and networking events
Requirements
- PhD in Hematology or related field
- Proven track record of publishing in high-impact journals
- Experience in both basic and translational research
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
