Sterilizer Technician III

The Sterilization Technician III is responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying complex sterilization and decontamination equipment, including steam sterilizers, vaporized peroxide sterilizers, and ultrasonic cleaners. They ensure regulatory compliance, maintain accurate equipment and inventory records, and support inventory management. Key duties include performing performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, repairs, and calibrations; managing documentation; and collaborating with vendors and subcontractors. Qualifications include a minimum of 5 years experience with sterilization equipment, electrical and plumbing knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot various systems. Required skills encompass strong communication, customer service, technical expertise, and the ability to read wiring and piping diagrams. Educational requirements include a 2-year degree in a technical or electronics field or equivalent experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and networking. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, and have a valid driver’s license for travel.
