Sterile Supply Technician - Offsite

Scope of Position

The Sterile Supply Technician II functions as an integral member of the Central Sterile Supply team in assuring the safe and accurate supply of operative instrumentation to the health care team members within the Department of Perioperative Services and other departments requiring instrument processing.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, inspection, sorting, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Decontaminating reusable instruments.
• Completing post decontamination responsibilities.
• Assembling instrument sets.
• Peel packing/wrapping and preparing trays for sterilization.
• Completing the sterilization process.
• Ensuring proper storage.
• Maintaining eyewash stations and records.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong customer service and time management skills.
