About the Role
The Sterile Reprocessing Technician is responsible for ensuring the effective decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment to meet safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare instrumentation for the decontamination process by disassembly and pre-processing.
- Operate all disinfection and sterilization equipment according to manufacturers’ specifications.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, including maintenance of instrument processing logs.
- Assemble processed instruments.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain familiarity with and abide by the Center’s policies and procedures.
- Support and participate in the Center’s quality improvement program.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in Sterile Processing.
- Graduate of an Accredited Program in Sterile Processing or approved on-the-job training with CBSPD or IAHCSMM Certification required.
