About the role
Receives, cleans, sterilizes and stores surgical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspections.
- Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.
- Properly disposes of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- One (1) year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
- Successful completion of a recognized training program in Central Sterile Processing preferred.
