Job Summary

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by ensuring every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empower a team committed to the care and improvement of human life.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
  • Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
  • Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
  • Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
  • Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

About the Facility

TriStar Summit Medical Center is a 230+ bed comprehensive facility serving Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. It includes a Level III Trauma Center offering a full array of acute care services such as cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation and women’s services. Additionally, it is an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center, leading in emergency heart and stroke care.
