About the Role
Participate in a workforce development program as a Sterile Processing Tech (SPT), trained to handle surgical instruments and ensure patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate sterilization equipment
- Decontaminate and disinfect medical tools
- Assemble and inspect instruments
- Maintain accurate records
- Communicate inventory status
- Respond to emergency needs
- Provide on-the-job training to new hires
Requirements
- Enrolled in the Pathfinders program
- Effective communicator
- Adaptable to various shifts
- Proficient with sterilizing equipment and computers
- Manual dexterity
Physical Requirements
- Ability to see, hear, and read labels
- Manipulate delicate equipment
- Lift and move heavy items
- Assist with patient transport
- Stand for extended periods
- Navigate busy environments
Location
Position based at a hospital in Grand Junction, CO.
Pay
$17.60/hour.
Schedule
Flexibility to work various shifts.
