About the Role
The Sterile Processing Technician ensures the cleanliness, sterilization, and proper handling of surgical instruments to support patient care. This full-time position offers benefits, growth opportunities, and comprehensive training, with no prior healthcare experience required.
Responsibilities
- Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Prepare and deliver supplies to operating room staff
- Maintain inventory and organize storage areas
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and washers (training provided)
- Use computer systems to track instruments and sterilization processes
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift over 25 pounds
- Ability to use required PPE
- Certification as a CRCST is required within 18 months of hire (training provided, costs covered, with pay increase upon certification)
Additional Details
The role involves completing a virtual interview process, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Up to two years in the position may be required before transfer opportunities.
