Sterile Processing Technician Lead
About the role
In addition to the responsibilities of Sterile Processing Technician I &II: supervise and participate in the decontamination, inspection, cleaning, operation of steam and other forms of sterilization as well as all monitoring processes included with same. Oversees area daily operations, productivity programs, and activities consistent with Department Leadership’s direction to achieve department/service line goals. Maintains adequate inventory for the assembly of instruments and equipment. Perform multiple tasks that assist in the daily operation of all units as well as being responsible for meeting and/or exceeding customer service. Act as the point person with the Sterile Processing Department with other departments or units. Participates in various personnel actions, including talent acquisition, performance management, and training.

Requirements
- Required Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
- Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree. Sterile Processing Training or Surgical Technician Training.
- Required License: SPD Technician Certification.
- Three years of experience to acquire advanced knowledge of sterile processes or comparable experience.
- Three years of technical and supervisory experience in the area.
- Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and Intranet software, e-mail.
- Three years as SPD Technician; experience with complex instrument sets; knowledge of performance improvement and data collection methods.
Qualifications
