About the role
Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Sterile Processing Department.
Responsibilities
- Understand principles of sterilization.
- Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
- Able to prioritize duties.
- Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform.
- Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays.
Requirements
- 1-2 years Instrument Experience
- 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience
- Linen Processing Experience
- Knowledge of regulatory protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
- Certification Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Required.
Skills
- Understanding of sterilization principles
- Proper instrument wrapping and linen processing skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes
- Experience with regulatory protocols
