Schedule

Full time, Day shift

Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique
• Other duties as assigned
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages
• Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions
• Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use

Requirements

• Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements
• Ability to understand the needs of the customer and respond to them in a pro-active, courteous, professional, and efficient manner
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
• Ability to work under stress and deadlines
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]
• Field of Study in healthcare sterile processing
• 1+ years related experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Required]
• OR Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]

Pay

$17.11 - $27.38 per hour
