About the role
The Instrument Technician is responsible for the care and preparation of surgical instruments and supplies. The technician maintains established inventory levels by checking supplies and equipment. Orders supplies for the area. The technician performs the appropriate testing of all sterilizers and keeps accurate records.Responsibilities

Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Preferred Instrument technician experience, 2 years or equivalent experience in hospital materials management department
Qualifications
- Knowledge of standard precautions, aseptic technique and principles of sterilization and instrument handling
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
