About the role
The Sterile Processing Technician at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is responsible for caring for and maintaining all surgical instrumentation.Responsibilities
- Cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation.
- Operates various sterilizers including steam/gravity sterilizer, Steris, washer sterilizer, and ultrasound unit.
- Organizes and sets up operating room instrument trays.
- Understands and operates all types of operation room instrumentation.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent education.
- Required: CRCST or equivalent certification.
- Experience: At least 1 year as an Instrument Room Technician.
- Experience with all types of sterilizers.
- Knowledge of operation room instrumentation.
- Ability to organize and set up operating room instrument trays.
- Understanding of the operation of steam/gravity sterilizer, Steris, washer sterilizer, and ultrasound unit.
