Sterile Processing Tech

About the role

Performs sterile processing of surgical instruments and equipment, and maintains supplies for the Surgical Services Department. We have an opportunity for a Full-Time Sterile Processing Tech to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains clean environment in sterile processing department by wearing appropriate clothing, hair and face covering, and cover coats, and removing/changing aprons, masks, etc., as necessary.
• Safely cleans, packages, assembles, sterilizes instruments and trays using aseptic technique.
• Correctly operates, monitors, and documents all cleaning and sterilizing equipment in CS and OR area according to equipment manufacturer's instructions.
• Maintains appropriate CS and Surgery inventory by routinely counting, ordering, and restocking par level supplies.
• Responds immediately to all requests from Surgery for different or additional items.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 2 years experience in sterile processing

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21.97 - $32.95. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
