Sterile Processing Shift Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all processing and sterilization activities inclusive of decontamination, preparation and packaging of instrumentation and sterilization for all items processed by the department.
• Responsible for following predetermined workflow, writing monthly schedules, planning daily assignments for assigned shift, and completing annual evaluations.
• Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.

Requirements

• Required Certification & Licensure: Sterile Processing Certification and 6 months hospital and 6 months instrument.
• Education: High School or Equivalent.
• Specific Skills: Knowledge of decontamination processes, preparation, and packaging, sterilization techniques based on manufacturer recommendations, and storage of sterilized items as well as knowledge of AMMI standards.
• Experience: Preferred Hospital Experience.

• Shift Hours: 2:30PM - 11:00PM Shift 2
• Shift: Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
• Weekend Work: Occasional
• On Call: No
