Sterile Proc Tech - Certified

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, prepping, packaging, and sterilization of all instrumentation processed through the department.
• Acting as a preceptor, mentor, and resource for department team members.
• Knowledge of decontamination processes, preparation, and packaging, sterilization techniques based on manufacturer recommendations, and storage of sterilized items.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up.
• Interpreting policies, procedures, and protocols and reviewing performance in compliance with recognized standards.

Requirements

• High School or Equivalent
• HSPA (Health System Performance Assessment)
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)
• CBSPDT (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Technicians)
• Preferred: Hospital & Endo Experience
