Job Summary and Qualifications
- Play a vital role in maintaining competent care delivery to patients in perioperative settings.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, patients, and their families.
- Perform tasks such as assembling necessary equipment and supplies, printing doctors' preference lists, assembling case carts, filling requisitions, and assisting with special project assignments.
- Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures to identify and reduce risks of acquiring or transmitting infections.
- Follow through on problems that may compromise effective job performance by using appropriate chain of command.
- Display knowledge of microbiology, instrumentation, and hand cleaning techniques of equipment and machines.
- Operate sterilizers, aerators, and monitor their cleaning processes.
Requirements
Successful completion of a program for operating room preferred. CRCST, CIS, and CER or equivalent certification required within 1 year of hire. Frequent interaction with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, patients, and their families. Familiarity with and knowledge of medical supplies is required.

Pay and Schedule
The hourly wage range for this position is $18.50 - $25.90. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.
