STEPS Museum Project Assistant

About the role

The William S. Webb Museum of Anthropology and Office of State Archaeology seeks a temporary Museum Project Assistant to assist with reorganizing museum storage and laboratory spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assembling shelving
• Relocating cabinets and equipment
• Moving archaeological collections and museum materials
• Aiding with facility improvement projects

Requirements

• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Use of hand and basic power tools
• Strong attention to detail and handling of fragile materials with care
• Following written and verbal instructions
• Working independently and as part of a team
• Learning and operating the Museum’s Work Assist Vehicle (WAV)

Benefits

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Shift: 1st shift Monday – Friday, 9:00AM – 5:00PM.

Pay

$12.00/hr - $15.00/hr
