Step-Up Volunteers Needed! (March-June 2027)
About the role
Project for Pride in Living, Inc. (PPL) is dedicated to serving individuals and families struggling with poverty, limited education, and other complex barriers to self-reliance. Over our 50+-year history as a nonprofit, we have developed a broad range of highly integrated programs that help participants build more stable lives. Step Up Volunteers are needed to assist with Orientation/Onboarding/Professional Development Days throughout the year (mostly March‑August on the dates and shifts they choose). PPL’s Step‑Up Foundations Program connects young people ages 14‑21 to paid internship and career readiness experiences every summer; in‑person events help ensure participants complete requirements for landing a summer internship. Interns are matched to nonprofit, government and community‑based organizations, with wages paid by the City of Minneapolis, and PPL provides intern matching support, employer engagement, and continuous training and professional development opportunities.
