Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
• Provide instruction in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
• Teach science subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, and computer science.
• Prepare students for standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT, including test-taking strategies and practice exams.
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians to provide updates on student performance and address any concerns.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in tutoring or teaching SAT/ACT test prep.
• In-depth knowledge of the SAT/ACT exams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with curriculum development and educational resources.
• Ability to work with students of all ages and academic levels.
• Patient, positive, and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching.
• Reliable transportation to travel to and from students’ homes.
