Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate standards-aligned, engaging STEM lessons.
- Differentiate lessons to cater to diverse learning styles and provide remediation to ensure all students demonstrate growth.
- Model and actively build healthy habits and character skills through Unity’s school culture.
- Grow and develop your own craft as an educator, contributing to the school community through formal career pathways and promotion systems.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with a teaching certification in New York.
- 2+ years of formal teaching experience in New York.
- Demonstrable skill in accelerating student growth and mastery.
- Adeptness in differentiating instruction to support a diverse range of learners and readiness levels.
- Ability to plan rigorous, engaging, and culturally responsive curricula aligned with New York State learning standards.
- Exhibits a balance of high expectations and high support, a growth mindset, and an innate joy in working with adolescents.
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills with a focus on building productive relationships with students and families.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and skilled in working collaboratively in team settings.
