STEM- Associate Professor/Full Professor

About the role

The College of Communication & Information Sciences (CCIS) at The University of Alabama invites applications for nine-month tenure-track Associate or Full faculty positions with STEM foci, to begin August 16th 2026.

Responsibilities

• Apply STEM knowledge and training to communication and/or information issues.
• Lead interdisciplinary, collaborative, externally funded research efforts.
• Teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in STEM, Communication, Information, or related fields.
• An established program of interdisciplinary scholarly research in recognized STEM venues and outlets.
• A record of teaching effectiveness, including courses with interdisciplinary students or courses covering STEM-related subjects.

Qualifications

• Ability to be an active and involved member of a highly collaborative faculty team.
