Steakhouse Line Cook

Department: Grill    Reports To: Bistro Manager    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt    Starting Wage: $19.00–$25.00 per hour

$500 sign-on bonus paid after three full months of employment, subject to additional terms and conditions.

About the Role

The Grill Cook is responsible for the preparation, production, and presentation of all foods in an assigned area during a scheduled shift, ensuring the efficiency of the Grill operation in accordance with Fortune Bay Resort Casino specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, finish, and/or garnish all food in the Grill according to established recipes.
• Work as a team member to produce a smooth and efficient operation.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware.
• Store food in designated containers/storage areas to prevent spoilage, labeling with product name, date, and initials.
• Take and record the temperature of food and food storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers.
• Work assigned positions, which may include prep, production, or display stations.
• Follow all recipes and control procedures.
• Prepare or display food to company specifications.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times in full accordance with State Health Regulations.
• Provide a safe working environment by complying with safety rules and reporting potential hazards.

• Minimum: None required.
• Preferred: Prior cooking experience; good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment; positive attitude, self-motivated, team player; responsible, reliable, flexible, and confident.
