About the role
This role is critical for Durango Casino & Resort to succeed as an approachable, luxury destination offering best-in-class hospitality and exciting amenities for all. The successful candidate will manage the Food and Beverage department, ensuring financial, guest, and team member KPIs are met.
Responsibilities
- Employ all management tools with the leadership team to achieve budgetary, quality control, service standards, and financial goals in the daily operation of the Food and Beverage department.
- Execute effective controls of Food and Beverage products, labor controls, and all other expense accounts of the department.
- Contribute to department leadership to ensure that Company specifications and brand guidelines are followed.
- Aid the leadership team in establishing and achieving predetermined profit and cost objectives and desired standards of quality food and service standards throughout the department and property.
- Ensure within your department that you are there for your team, enabling and empowering them to perform, owning the operation, and building caring and trusting relationships.
- Engage and communicate with your teams, coach up and develop talent, and champion collaboration with your team and with other business units.
- Owning your business and results, executing innovation and improvement, and having an authentic and positive leadership presence around the company.
Requirements
- Prior understanding of profit and loss responsibilities in a similar diverse environment.
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience preferred.
- Prior experience in leading a team to meet the daily needs of operation.
- Ability to obtain an Alcohol Awareness card (must be at least 21 years of age) and Health card.
