About the Role

Step into the spotlight as our Assistant General Manager, ensuring every guest leaves with a smile and our hotel runs like a well-oiled machine. When the General Manager is away, you’ll oversee departments, boost revenue, control costs, and help your teammates shine. This is an overtime eligible manager (OEM) position—overtime applies and is calculated accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by managing teams and partnering with the General Manager.
• Proactively identify and solve challenges to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff, and support team development through training programs.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues and guests, listening actively and addressing concerns.
• Work confidently with financial data and reporting to support hotel operations.
• Utilize Windows Operating Systems for management and reporting tasks.
• Uphold professional appearance and grooming standards for yourself and the team.
• Deliver a friendly, service-focused attitude in every guest and teammate interaction.

Requirements

• At least five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or Food & Beverage), or a four-year degree with 2–3 years of experience, or a two-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.
• Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
