Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (fully on-site)

About the Role

The Markey Cancer Center is seeking a Statistician Principal. This position has broad-ranging responsibilities working with faculty from all relevant disciplines to assure rigorous and state-of-the-art AI methodology for experimental design and analysis in large-scale, high-throughput cancer research studies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to design and analyze large-scale, high-throughput cancer research studies using advanced statistical and AI methodologies.
• Supervise junior staff or team members as required.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in statistics, biostatistics, or computational research.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and High-Performance Computing (HPC).

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally.
• Prolonged sitting at a computer.
• Repetitive motion tasks.
