  • Adapt and maintain legacy SAS code while extending expertise through self-directed learning and collaboration with faculty.
  • Support recurring and ad-hoc reporting needs, including annual, quarterly, and near-real-time monitoring reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (required).
  • 2 years of experience in analysis and presentation of statistical data (required). May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
  • Proficiency in SAS is crucial; experience with additional statistical programming languages (e.g., R or Python) is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated experience applying advanced statistical methods commonly used in large-scale education research, such as multilevel and growth models, structural equation models, and IRT.
  • Comfort with deepening and extending statistical expertise through self-directed learning and collaboration.
  • Strong data engineering instincts and ability to navigate varied data architectures.
  • Ability to consult documentation, learn new tools, and adapt code examples to address novel analytic questions.
  • Commitment to supporting large, statewide education initiatives that impact children, educators, and systems across Texas.

Benefits

  • 100% paid medical premiums for full-time employees.
  • Generous time off, including holidays, preventative leave, vacation, and sick time (approximately 37-38 days per year).
  • Vacation accrual increases with longevity.
  • Longevity Pay (monthly payments after two years of service).
