Stationary Engineer

About the role

Maintains major equipment in the central plant, including chillers, boilers, and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates boilers, chillers, and associated equipment according to established policies and procedures. Adheres to regulatory and code requirements.
• Maintains and operates Co-Generation and associated equipment according to established policies and procedures. Adheres to regulatory and code requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management, consistent with minimum level of preparation and training required and department demands/needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification: Possess, or be able to obtain within 6 months from date of hire, licensure as required by state law.
• Three years of experience with a mechanical contractor or experience as a stationary engineer in a commercial or hospital service environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Graduate of trade or vocational school in related field.
