Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Identify and resolve any electrical faults, replace faulty components, and conduct tests to assess system functionality.
  • Install and connect electrical equipment, machinery, and systems according to blueprints, specifications, and relevant electrical codes.
  • Aid in upgrading existing electrical systems or installing new systems as required.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable safety codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
  • Generate reports detailing findings, recommended actions, and equipment condition.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and contractors to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, diagnose the cause, determine the appropriate remedial action, and implement repairs to restore normal operation.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to electrical maintenance, safety, and equipment operation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical maintenance is preferred.
  • Valid electrician's license or certification as per local regulations and requirements.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance electrician or similar role in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles, electrical codes, and safety procedures.
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Ability to interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members, contractors, and clients.
  • Physical strength and dexterity to work with electrical components and equipment in various locations and positions.
