Stationary Engineer

Overview

A stationary engineer plays a vital role in maintaining and operating the boilers located in the interior and exterior of the building.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.
• Ensures safe, efficient operation of all equipment relevant to boilers, chillers, pumps, life safety equipment, air handlers, and emergency generators.
• Responsible for preventive and regular maintenance of all equipment.
• Applies operation procedures as required by state and local codes.
• Performs water testing treatment for boilers and chillers.
• Maintains log of all equipment status and inventory of parts and material necessary for repairs.
• Keeps equipment and assigned areas clean.
• The function of this position does not include the maintenance or operation of gaming equipment.
• Performs other service work as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Vocational Training or equivalent preferred.
• Certified boiler operator with minimum Black Seal High Pressure License.
• Communication skills.
• Three years boiler operations; two years’ operating large tonnage air conditioning chillers.
• Must possess a Casino Employee Registration or be eligible to obtain such a credential from the New Jersey DGE.
