About the Role
Operates and maintains the efficient operation of the facility's high-pressure steam boilers and associated equipment. Maintains and repairs air-handling units, chillers, cooling towers, exhaust systems, heating systems, pumps, valves, piping, and electrical systems. Monitors temperatures, pressures, and levels (e.g., water, oil, chemicals) associated with pertinent machinery and performs necessary adjustments, repairs, and replacements to equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or 2-3 years equivalent combination of education and experience in a related area.
- Unexpired National or State of Maryland Stationary Engineer License.
- Unexpired, unsuspended driver’s license if driving is required as part of routine job duties.
- 2-3 years of related experience.
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications as required.
- Up to six (6) months of on-the-job training to gain proficiency.
- Effective communication skills and demonstrated professionalism in promoting a positive service atmosphere.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work.
