Station Mechanic Nights

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic assists the maintenance department with plant maintenance tasks, including repairs, communication, and support of station mechanics and operators.

Responsibilities

• Aid in necessary repairs of equipment, property, and the building.
• Maintain accurate communication with other mechanics and departments.
• Support basic functions of machinery and equipment.
• Use electrical testing equipment effectively.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement to supervisor or lead person.
• Initiate and conduct routine preventative maintenance (PM's).
• Maintain shop 5s policies and cleanliness.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Pass a Prove It test.
• Two years' experience in maintenance field preferred.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience operating maintenance power tools.
• Knowledge of electric and mechanical procedures.
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Skills

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentage calculations).
• Reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Prove It test.
• Two years' experience in maintenance field.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience operating maintenance power tools.
• Knowledge of electric and mechanical procedures.
• Flexibility to work weekends.
