State Licensed Industrial Foreman Journeyman Control Electrician

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated Journeyman with 5–10 years of field experience who can think creatively to solve both routine and complex construction challenges while keeping projects on track. Preference given to candidates with heavy-civil experience around bridges, structural concrete, mechanical-equipment installation, heavy-steel structures, and marine work.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot cable-tray systems and cabling.
• Perform accurate control wiring and terminations.
• Complete project documentation and field reports.
• Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Assist with daily electrical task planning and layout.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and subcontractors.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for project needs.

Requirements

• Current Washington and Oregon Journeyman license (required).
• Strong technical experience with industrial electrical systems.
• Familiarity with cable-tray systems, cabling, and control terminations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong experience with industrial control wiring and functional checkout.
• 100 % travel required; company pays per diem for assignments 70+ miles from home.

Physical Demands

• Frequently stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Work at elevated heights.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

$28 – $46 per hour (DOE), following Washington Davis-Bacon rules with additional fringe benefits included in each paycheck.

Benefits

• $600 per week subsistence/per diem when temporarily assigned 70+ miles from residence.
