State and Local Tax - Indirect Tax - Manager

PwC, a leading professional services firm, focuses on providing tax planning, compliance, and strategic advice to clients. The State and Local Indirect Tax team specializes in VAT, GST, sales tax, and other indirect taxes.
Responsibilities
- Leading technology-enabled tax advisory services
- Supervising, developing, and coaching teams
- Managing client service accounts and driving engagement workstreams
- Solving and analyzing complex problems to develop exceptional deliverables
- Cultivating meaningful client relationships
- Inspiring team members and navigating ambiguity

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 4 years of experience
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials
- Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation field of study
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of state and local tax laws
- Proficiency in tax planning and restructuring
- Experience in audit defense and state controversy work
- Familiarity with sales and use tax implications on FAS 5
- Proficiency in tax compliance automation tools
- Client relationship management skills
- Proven leadership in supervising and coaching teams
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in tax services

Benefits
The salary range for this position is $99,000 - $266,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
