State and Local Tax Financial Services Manager
Join our State and Local Tax Financial Services practice and help clients solve business issues related to business restructuring, adoption of new tax laws, and local tax developments. You’ll assess state and local tax burdens, recommend solutions aligned with business objectives, and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws. Focus areas include abandoned and unclaimed property, income and franchise tax, payroll and employment tax, credits and incentives, and indirect tax.
About the role
As a Manager, you’ll lead technology-enabled tax advisory services, driving digitization, automation, and efficiency. You’ll supervise teams, manage client accounts, solve complex problems, and deliver high-quality work while fostering client relationships and navigating ambiguity. Your role supports PwC’s quality standards and broader business strategies.
Responsibilities

- Independently analyze and resolve complex tax and business problems
- Build and maintain meaningful client relationships

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- CPA, Bar membership, or other tax/finance/technology credentials
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Broad knowledge of partnership tax compliance
- Proficiency in tax return production and audit defense
- Experience in tax consulting and structuring
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Proven leadership in supervising and coaching teams
Pay
$99,000 – $266,000 annually, dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
