Startup Coach, Founders School - $250,000/year USD

What You Will Be Doing

• Guide and energize a group of student founders through structured weekly 1:1 sessions, daily progress reviews, and team stand-ups that ensure continuous, tangible advancement.
• Maintain exceptionally high standards for execution while delivering the guidance and accountability students require to push past challenges and continue building.
• Track student performance using FounderOS, recognize when learners encounter roadblocks, and facilitate access to mentors, Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, or other tools that drive accelerated development.
• Contribute to shaping the culture, rituals, programming, events, and operational cadence of a premier entrepreneurial secondary school.
• Accompany students on multiple trips annually while cultivating enduring relationships with founders, investors, operators, and entrepreneurial communities.

Basic Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years in a leadership or high-impact role within a startup or high-growth organization.
• Solid business acumen and the confidence to work effectively with early-stage founders while recognizing when to engage specialists.
• Proven capacity to coach, inspire, and maintain accountability with high-performing individuals.
• Active, daily use of AI to enhance both the quality and efficiency of your output.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-development abilities with students, families, mentors, and entrepreneurs.
• Commitment to full-time, on-site work in New York City, including periodic travel during the year.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Experience as a founder or co-founder of a company.
• Background in coaching, mentoring, or managing programs for teenagers or emerging adults.
• Developed network including founders, investors, operators, or advisors.
• History working in early-stage ventures where cross-functional work was routine.
