Starts Coordinator
Position Summary
The Starts Coordinator serves as the functional owner and operational authority over Brohn Homes’ pre-construction start process, including permitting, start readiness authorization, and start readiness coordination. This role performs work directly related to the company’s core business operations and exercises independent judgment and discretion on matters of operational and financial significance.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required; college degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in construction operations, purchasing, starts coordination, or operational administration preferred
- Strong analytical, financial, and operational reasoning skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions affecting operational outcomes
- Strong understanding of construction processes, permitting workflows, and budget structures preferred
- Able to interpret operational and financial data and identify discrepancies
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but exercises functional authority over the start readiness process.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position meets the criteria for exemption under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Administrative Exemption, as the primary duty consists of office or non-manual work directly related to management and business operations, and includes the consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion on matters of operational and financial significance.
Days and hours of work are [Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.]. This position may work outside of normal business hours to include evenings and weekends as needed.
Travel
Less than 10% travel is expected for this position.
