Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems including laying out roof penetrations, ducting, and sheet metal fittings according to customer specifications and applicable building codes.
• Provide support to the construction foreman by reading and interpreting blueprints, ensuring timely and quality project completion.
• Coordinate and follow job schedules, including labor hours and material costs.
• Assist the construction foreman as needed during the job.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and trade or technical school classes.
• 4+ years experience in the construction industry, with hands-on field experience in commercial HVAC construction.
• Knowledge of UMC/SMACNA requirements.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools.
• Knowledge of refrigeration equipment.
• Knowledge of blueprints, detailing HVAC duct fittings.
• Ability to grease duct weld, complete minor electrical installation, and perform sheet metal layouts and fabrications.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Experience lifting to 50 lbs., climbing, and balancing on a ladder, and working in elevated/high locations.
