STARBUCKS/LEAD BARISTA
About the role
Fry’s Food Stores, based in Arizona, merges with The Kroger Company in 1983. As part of the Kroger family, we aim to serve over 120 stores in Arizona and beyond. Our mission is to create exceptional experiences for our customers, communities, and each other, centered around food.
Responsibilities
- Increase sales through effective marketing and merchandising of products in the Department.
- Aid in supervising and directing department personnel to ensure quality customer service.
- Delegate job assignments and responsibilities to associates in accordance with duty rosters.
- Order and maintain stock and supplies, monitor conditions and appearance of same throughout the department.
- Maintain customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner.
- Prepare a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day.
- Execute and adhere to all Starbucks programs, policies, and promotions.
- Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with cleaning standards and work as a store team player.
- Present oneself professionally and demonstrate clear communication with all customer and partner interactions.
- Perform equipment maintenance in accordance with preventative maintenance checklist.
- Follow cash handling and register policies.
- Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Calmly, courteously, and tactfully handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.
- Must be a trained and certified barista.
- Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
- Prior food handling.
- Supervisory skills.
Skills
Able to effectively communicate with customers and associates. Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions. Adhere to company policies & procedures, particularly in the areas of dress code, grooming, sanitation, and maintenance of a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination. Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments. Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational and cooperative manner. Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues. Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
