About the Role

As a Starbucks Barista at Target, you'll be part of the Food & Beverage team, ensuring a consistent and enjoyable experience for our guests. This role focuses on providing high-quality Starbucks products, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and friendly guest experience by greeting, assisting, and thanking customers.
• Prepare handcrafted beverages and food items according to Starbucks recipes and standards.
• Maintain food quality and freshness, adhering to state and federal food safety guidelines.
• Ensure the dining area is inviting and clean throughout the shift.
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process, fulfilling digital orders accurately and promptly.
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.
• Follow Target and Starbucks routines for consistent guest experiences, efficient task completion, and food safety compliance.
• Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items, ensuring food safety.
• Complete cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices.
• Identify and process damaged, recalled, or expired items according to guidelines.
• Place store-initiated orders to maintain accurate in-stocks.
• Follow perishable inventory procedures for precise inventory records.
• Execute sampling best practices and complete required training for Starbucks product quality control.
• Support guest services, including backup cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up, ensuring compliance with beverage laws.

Requirements

• Previous Starbucks or food service experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• A welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively using multiple devices and operate technology equipment.
• Work independently and as part of a team, resolving guest queries promptly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• Access all areas of the building to address guest or team member issues.
• Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately.
• Handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders if required.
• Lift and move merchandise, frequently up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Work in varying temperatures, including refrigeration and freezer conditions, and handle common allergens.
• Remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts.

Starting Hourly Rate: $16.00 USD per hour
