About the Role

As a Starbucks Barista at Target, you'll be part of a team that ensures a fresh, full, and food-safe shopping experience for our guests. You'll work in a fun and energetic environment, providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, interacting with guests, and being part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by connecting with guests, delivering quality handcrafted beverages and food, and prioritizing their needs.
• Uphold and maintain Food and Beverage Standards, Starbucks brand standards, and food safety standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes, including deliveries, replenishment, stocking, zoning, and cleaning.
• Maintain an inviting dining area and ensure all promotional activities are followed.
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process and fulfill digital guest orders accurately and on time.
• Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items, complete cleaning tasks, and follow proper packaging and labeling guidelines.
• Locate and process damaged, recalled, or expired items according to best practices.
• Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders and following perishable inventory procedures.
• Engage with guests, provide assistance, and tailor your approach based on their needs.
• Complete required Starbucks trainings related to quality control and demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up, and Drive-up, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications

• Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively and operate technology equipment.
• Work independently and as part of a team, resolving guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

• Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture.
• Knowledge of food quality and freshness management.
• Understanding of state and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to operate cash registers, climb ladders, and handle merchandise efficiently.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays with reliable attendance.
• Capability to work in varying temperatures and environments, including Drive-Up and carryout.

Pay

Starting Hourly Rate: $17.25 USD per hour
