The Food & Beverage team ensures product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts of operations, process and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food and Beverage areas of the store.

The Role of a Starbucks Barista

The Role of a Starbucks Barista can provide you with the skills and experiences of:

• Providing a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted Starbucks' Food quality and freshness management
• State and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines
• As a Starbucks Barista, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
• Delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest's needs over task.
• Upholding and maintaining the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards.
• Executing food and beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing, and storing reserve product.
• Always be aware of current & future promotions within Starbucks.
• Following all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety.
• Supporting the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Maintaining an inviting dining area for guests throughout shift.
• Engaging with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.
• Producing hand crafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards.
• Following all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature sensitive food items, as outlined in best practice.
• Completing and recording all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices.
• Locating and identifying damaged, recalled or expired items and processing according to best practice.
• Ensuring accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices.
• Executing sampling best practices.
• Being knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
• Completing all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products.
• Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Working in a safe manner at all times; complying with all safety policies, best practices, and training; reporting hazards and correcting where possible.
• Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintaining a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we're happy they chose to shop at Target.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Have previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Have a welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Have the ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Can work both independently and with a team.
• Can resolve guest questions quickly.
• Have attention to detail and follow a multi-step processes.
• Can remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
