Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by:
  • Greeting guests at 10ft (smile, make eye contact, or wave) and 4ft (initiate a warm, helpful interaction)
  • Helping guests find what they need and resolving issues for a smooth shopping experience
  • Ending every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an inspiring guest experience
• Provide a fresh and abundant shopping experience, prioritizing guest needs over tasks
• Uphold and maintain Food & Beverage Standards, including food safety and OSHA guidelines
• Execute food and beverage processes such as:
  • Food deliveries, replenishment, and instocks routines
  • Data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing reserve product
• Stay aware of current and future Starbucks promotions
• Follow Target and Starbucks routines to maintain consistency and food safety
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to fulfill digital guest orders accurately and on time
• Maintain an inviting dining area throughout the shift
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed expectations based on Starbucks standards
• Produce handcrafted beverages and food according to recipe specifications
• Follow food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperatures of sensitive food items
• Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices
• Locate and identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process them according to best practices
• Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices
• Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to maintain accurate inventory records
• Execute sampling best practices
• Complete all required training and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Work safely at all times, comply with safety policies, and report hazards
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive-Up (DU) while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws
• Perform all other duties based on business needs

Requirements

• Enjoy interacting and helping guests and team members
• Thrive in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role with a focus on teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem-solving
• Open to working a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
• Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
• Ability to communicate using multiple frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment
• Work both independently and as part of a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes
• Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
• Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately
• Handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb up and down ladders if needed
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including:
  • Frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds
  • Occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance
• Flexible work schedule, including coming to work when scheduled, working scheduled shifts, and taking required meal and rest breaks
• Ability to work in environments with refrigeration, freezer temperatures, and common allergens
• Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing job duties, including Drive-Ups and carryout
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts (shift length may vary)
