About the role
As a Starbucks Barista, you will prepare and serve quality food and beverage products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
Schedule
Tuesday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Assist with all coffee drinks, made-to-order beverages, basic food prep, and basic cleaning and organizing of goods.
- Brew coffee daily, fill ice machines, and stock new inventories.
- Wipe down tables, mop, clean work areas, wash dishes, and maintain a clean and well-organized café.
- Assist with on-site catering events, including setup, service, and catering pick-ups.
- Engage with customers, describe menu items, suggest products, and provide ingredient or preparation details.
- Communicate with customers regarding orders, comments, and complaints.
- Operate the cash register, process payments, make change, and balance receipts.
- Contribute to a positive team environment, recognize team accomplishments, and communicate concerns to the manager.
- Maintain a calm demeanor during high-volume periods and anticipate customer and team needs.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain proper temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment.
- Perform additional duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes to ensure sanitary conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Barista experience.
- Strong food prep skills preferred.
- Ability to learn new skills and apply them with minimal guidance after training.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to comply with strict dress code and personal hygiene requirements, including hand washing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to meet operating policies and standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with customers and respond to their needs through clear communication.
- Previous experience with ALOHA system or POS systems.
Pay
$19.50 per hour
